The Year of Engineering is over and the Year of STEM is now upon us to drive engineering forward with the next generation.  STEM is becoming a growing movement with great potential to help the industry, we as professions have a duty to give something back to our communities. So we have a diverse year ahead of us with plenty of opportunity for growth and development. Tools to help STEM Ambassadors resources, IET STEM tool kit and the ICE Education resources.

As the industry looks towards the future of BritEx we are starting to see gaps in the market for talented leaders.  CMI have been publishing a number of articles on this issue to try and inspire the industry to address the matter.  The industry also needs to understand and address its equality at all levels, CMI, the IET and the ICE have all conducted a number of sessions on this last year and have a list of great events over the next year to help the industry in this area.   On a wider scale the world is in need of a drive towards sustainable outcomes which we all need to take a part in.  With the establishment of the IET's online Academy and the CIOB Academy have helped create a wealth of online training portals, with the IStructE running a great range of webinars for the structural engineers out their.

If you would like to know more about these events or have any questions, please contact myself via the linked comments box.
